Golf Along the Whisky Trail – The Scottish Highlands

Highlights

The famous courses of Scotland roll off the tongue. However, few can recite the greatest courses of the Highlands, and fewer still know that the spirit of Scottish golf is arguably even better captured up here along the Whisky Trail, which as the name suggests is also home to some of Scotland’s greatest distilleries. Spend a few days near or in the “haunted Burgh” of Dornoch, where Donald Ross learned his craft and where the last witch in Scotland was burned at the stake. Work your way to Cruden Bay, where Bram Stoker received his inspiration to create his “Dracula.” In between, both the golf and the whisky will tickle the senses. You’ll have daylight from about 4:00 AM to midnight in the height of summer, giving you plenty of time to play and taste them all!
