Golf on the Whisky Trail: The Scottish Highlands
The famous courses of Scotland roll off the tongue. However, few can recite the great courses of the Highlands, and fewer still know that the spirit of Scottish golf is arguably even better captured up here along the Whisky Trail, one of our very favorite tours. Spend a few days near or in haunted Dornoch, where Donald Ross learned his craft and the last witch in Scotland was burned at the stake, and work your way to Cruden Bay, where Bram Stoker received his inspiration to create his “Dracula.” In between, both the golf and the distilleries will tickle the senses. You’ll have daylight from about 4AM to Midnight in the height of summer, plenty of time to play and taste them all, for a fraction of the price of the British Open venues!
