Practically next door to Conwy is another traditional links course holding great appeal for connoisseurs of traditional golf. This is the North Wales Golf Club, another exceptionally scenic course here near Llandudno where the Welsh coastline is arguably its most dramatic. It is a links of enormous character, with undulating, humpy fairways, nary a flat stance to be found, with blind shots throughout. Waiting outside the fairways is our favorite golfing mistress, Heather Gorse, a lady we’ve been having an affair with for over two decades, one we visit all too often on our trips to the British Isles! The deep, sod-faced bunkers beside the greens complete a challenge that is everything a golfer can hope to encounter in Britain!
