GOLF COURSES

Omaha Beach golf course
Situated close to the famous landing beaches, Omaha Golf Course is one of the best in the West of France and deserves its international label.
Nine holes are close to the sea where the windy conditions prevail. The green of hole number 6 at the edge of the cliff overlooking the harbour is a treasure in itself.
The other nine holes are set in the heart of the Norman bocage with its apple trees and dense bushes which make up one of the course main difficulties.
History is present all along the course with each hole named after heroes from the Normandy landing on 6th of June 1944.

Deauville golf course
Overlooking Deauville’s bay, players putt under the windows of the Grand Hotel at Deauville Golf, an old and challenging course designed by Tom Simpson.
A large variety of trees such as oak, elm, ash, apple trees (symbol of the Calvados country) surrounds the fairways, where remain some piece of wall of the Marquis de Lassay’s castle.
Deauville is one of the most exclusive golf course in Normandy where many foreign golfers come from all over the world to enjoy golf, relax and …gambling at the famous casino.

Etretat golf course
Situated at the top of Etretat’s cliffs and overlooking the worldwide known natural arches in the cliffs (Aiguille Creuse), this outstanding golf course is considered as one of the most spectacular in Europe.
Like all the authentic links, Etretat Golf Course offers windy conditions and dreadful gorse surrounding some of the fairways requiring long and straight iron shots, which represent a tough challenge for the golfers. Even though you have reached the green, the difficulties remain with the up and down slopes and the flagsticks bending in the gusts.

Château de Champ de Bataille golf course
The reputation of this championship golf course as a difficult and challenging course has grown steadily since its inception 14 years ago in 1988.
Created from a huge forest, its fairways are testing and careful club selection is vital. Champ de Bataille is not merely a setting of breathtaking beauty, but an inventive test of golf to challenge the imagination of players at every level.
Dominated by a 17th century castle, this course with its immense clusters of rhododendrons and centuries old trees is considered as one of the top 25 most beautiful courses in France, and competitors compare this course to the West Course at Wentworth.
