Through a special arrangement with one of the world's leading foreign exchange banks, Hidden Links is able to offer our clients the option of guaranteed pricing in US Dollars, rather than tours being subject to exchange rate fluctuation. This guarantee is backed by a foreign currency contract with our bank partner that is specific to your group, and is NOT just a gamble on an inflated exchange rate like other guarantees out there. Hidden Links clients can now lock in their tours at current rates, at the same price as initially quoted. The only additional requirements are a slightly higher initial deposit and a small service fee. With Hidden Links, clients can now choose between locking in their dollar price (and being certain that their tour operator can honor the guaranteed price!) or allowing their price to fluctuate with exchange rates. This is a service no overseas-based tour operator can offer to North American travelers!
Here's an example of the two options, on a $4,000.00 per person tour to Scotland, with a deposit of $1,000.00 per person (deposit amounts can vary depending on tour inclusions).
Option 1 with price subject to currency fluctuation:
Quoted price: $4,000.00 US Dollars
Tour deposit required: $1,000.00 per person
Final payment: $3,000.00 per person, subject to currency fluctuation
If the exchange rate goes up by 10%, the final price would go up approximately $400.00 each. The price could go up or down depending on what the currency does.
Option 2 with guaranteed US Dollar pricing:
Quoted price: $4,000.00 per person
Tour deposit required: $1,000.00 per person.
Additional foreign currency contract deposit required at 15% of the balance: $450.00 per person (applicable towards the final balance).
Final payment: $2,550.00 per person, guaranteed regardless of currency fluctuation
There is a service fee of an additional $50.00 per person for this option, payable at the time of booking.
